Meet Poppi! 

Poppi is a 1 year old sweet and affectionate female mini pitbull mix who has captured all of our hearts here at The Dog Company.

She’s not just a pretty face—Poppi is smart, eager to please, and already trained both on and off leash. She knows her commands (Sit, Down, Heel, Place, and Come) and loves showing them off.

Her journey hasn’t been an easy one. Poppi came to the shelter malnourished and unsure of people. After her first foster home wasn’t the right fit, she came to us where we worked patiently to rebuild her trust, address her resource guarding, and help her blossom into the balanced, loving dog she is today.

Poppi adores people and has never met a stranger—her affectionate nature shines through with everyone she meets. She is friendly with most dogs and has made plenty of doggie friends here. A meet-and-greet would be required to ensure the perfect match.

What makes Poppi extra special? Every single member of our team has fallen in love with her (and that says a lot, since we all already have dogs of our own!). If we could, we’d each take her home in a heartbeat.

Poppi is now ready for her next chapter: a forever home where she can continue to thrive. She would make a wonderful addition to the right family and is simply waiting for a place to call her own.
